Open Question: How can i get braces?

My father is a disabled Vet and I recieve VA benefits for college. I am thinking of moving out of state and need to know if I will still be eligable for my benefits if I transfer to another college. Also, I am waiting to hear back about whether or not I can get health insurance through VA. If I am approved (I should be) will I lose my coverage if I move? Im 20 years old and do not have the income to go to school full-time and support myself without the benefits. Does anyone know if I have to live with my dad to keep recieving payments?

A family members suffers from bipolar but is unemployed (without health insurance) and cannot afford to pay the costs. Are there companies that help people pay for their prescriptions?

Open Question: Questions about Filing Independent at age 21?

My girlfriend had her stepfather file her taxes for her this year and he filed her as an "independent". She is 21 years old, a college student, and lives away from home. She has been filed as dependent all the previous years before hand.

We are wondering how everything else should be filled out now that this change has happened and she is still under 25. Is she still able to be covered under her mother's health insurance? She is filed independent but is 21 years old.

Does she not use her mother's tax info for her Fafsa anymore? We are really confused about what changes now that her taxes were filed as independent. Any help is appreciated.
